Silent No More! by Helen Doogan

Don’t take the road
That’s littered with bones
of souls that thought
they were broken
Wings shredded
Bloodied feet
and so many words
left unspoken
Tired mind and
Hurting heart
Emotions that are tangled
trip over each other
seeking comfort from excuses
that become mangled
Abuses that are so very far
from the warmth that you deserve
Don’t take that road
of broken bones
because your screams
They. Can. Be. Heard

Pink Ribbon Warrior. by Graye Meadows

Just as her poetry can sometimes prove dark, Graye has a black thumb……and can’t keep plants alive. But, ever the dreamer, she meanders about her heart, penning petals on page, hoping to create a meadow. At times, she shares her work on Instagram. You can also say “hello” to her on Goodreads. She is thrilled and grateful to see her work here at The Whiskey!
